The “Tout by bike” challenge started this Monday, May 5, 2025 on Monday and will be held until June 6. Created ten years ago in Lannion to develop daily cycling, it now has twelve participating cities or territories: Baud, Brest, Carhaix, Kreiz Breizh (Rostrenen), Lorient, Morlaix, Paimpol, Plabennec, Quimper, Saint-Malo and Vannes, in addition to Lannion. The principle is simple: each participant has on a dedicated site the kilometers he performs every day at bicycle.
“The challenge is not sporty, but to encourage as many people as possible to make their trips by bicycle, and particularly those who have never taken the plunge,” said the association Trégor Bicyclette, in a statement published Monday May 5. In which is specified that “electric assistance bikes are accepted”.
Objective 100,000 kilometers
“Beyond the home work, all utility trips are accepted, that is to say all those for which we take our bike rather than another mode of transport (races, support for children, medical appointments, association meetings or visits to friends etc.), but not the Sunday walk”, specifies the challenge on its website. Participants can register solo or team. At the regional scale, all by bike is targeting this year a goal of 100,000 km traveled.
