The SODEC today confirms its support for 14 new projects of Quebec fiction feature films, among which there is a new project for Louis Morissette and its KO 24 inc.
Indeed, after having signed two first feature films, entitled Le Mirage and the perfect family guide, the screenwriter and producer will be interested in female hockey this time with the film Sortie the zone. He will also play a role.
The project synopsis goes as follows: Amélie Corbeil, 37, is an efficient employee, a dedicated mother, a caring wife and the worthy daughter of her father called to take over from the family business. But Amélie no longer has time for her own pleasure. It is by discovering the female garage league hockey that she will learn to redo space in her life for the fun, the useless and the unproductive. And if her new passion makes her discover sincere friendship, sorority and feeling of belonging, she also shakes up her family and professional balance. Is the entourage of Amélie ready to accept her change of position that makes her happier?
For this proposal, Louis Morissette will team up with Rachel Graton, who also signs the scenario while playing the main role of Amélie. We could see the actress recently in the Portrait-Robot series.
Jean-François Léger is also part of the trio of authors behind this project.
The distribution of the film will be provided by the opal films inc. and ko distribution inc.
For the moment, the date of release in theaters of the film has not yet been announced, or even the start date of the shooting. It is to follow!
In addition, among the other films that have received the approval of SODEC, we find HauntedIndia Desjardins’ new project which previously gave us two films of the franchise Aurélie Laflamme and December 23.
In this new fantastic proposal, Mathilde, a marginal teenager, has to move in the region with her family for a reason that she would like to bury at the bottom of herself. By moving in her new house, she discovers that a ghost lives there. This ghost is that of Isabeau, a very friendly and friendly 19th century woman who has modernized over her 150 years of wandering. These two characters will be friends and will help each other to cross (for one) life and (for the other) death. While residing in the injustices they have experienced, anchored in their respective eras, they develop deep ties, which will allow them to find peace.
