King Frederik X and Queen Mary of Denmark saw things big for the 18th anniversary of their first daughter, Princess Isabella. This April 15, a major gala show was organized at the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, broadcast live on television, to celebrate the majority of Princess Isabelle. Splendid in a glittery princess dress, Isabella was the real star of the evening, even if her brothers and sister, his cousins, her parents, her grandmother and her aunts also competed in elegance.

The Danish Royal Theater is an iconic building in Copenhagen, forever linked to the history of Danish sovereigns. On the old scene of this theater, the kings and queens of Denmark, of which were the patrons over the centuries, occurred this Tuesday, April 15, 2025 of the hundreds of young Danish talents, on the occasion of the majority of Princess Isabella. King Frederik X and Queen Mary wanted to associate a family event with the history of this theater once again.

Princess Isabella resplendent in a glutch puffy dress as a queen of the evening
Princess Isabella will officially celebrate her birthday on April 21 but the date coinciding with Easter Monday, it was this Tuesday, April 15 that a big birthday party was organized a little in advance at the Danish Royal Theater. A show of young talents, presented by actress Julie Rudbæk, was offered on the old scene. Young handy guests attended the show, while members of the royal family attended the balcony and the royal lodge. Princess Isabella was obviously the star of the evening in her midnight and glitter blue princess dress, covered with a black tulle, signed by the Danish creator Jesper Høvring.

Princess Isabella wore little jewelry, only the Bruun Rasmussen earrings that her mother, Queen Mary lent her and her Cartier bracelet. This evening was marked by the elegance of all the guests, enough to console the princess who was not entitled to a royal gala like his older brother, the Crown Prince Christian. The eldest son of Frederik X and Mary, now heir to the throne, was entitled to a large gala organized by his grandmother, to whom all the heirs of the various European thrones were invited. Tiaras and distinctions were in order, while Isabella’s birthday, 2nd in the order of succession to the throne, took the look of a prestigious evening.

Isabella’s 18th anniversary prestige guests compete in elegance
Three queens attended the show: the mother, the grandmother and the grand-tent of Isabella. Queen Mary wore a big sequins by Malene Birger’s skirt to attend the show in honor of her daughter. Queen Margrethe arrived at the theater with her usual fur on her shoulders. Queen Margrethe, passionate about the scene arts could not miss her granddaughter’s birthday. She had also invited her two sisters, Princess Benedikte and Queen Anne-Marie de Greece.

The two brothers and sister of Princess Isabella also competed in elegance. Prince Crown Prince Christian and his little brother, Prince Vincent, wore a tuxedo like their father, King Frederik X. Princess Josephine, twin sister of Prince Vincent, wore a combination made by Jesper Høvring, the same designer who created the puffy dress of princess of his older sister. Prince Gustav of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, son of Princess Benedikte, was also present with his wife, Princess Carina.



Queen Mary had also invited her family members to her daughter’s birthday. Her sisters Patricia Bailey and Jane Stephens had made the trip from her native Australia, as is her university girlfriend Nadine Johnston. On the paternal side, two cousins of Princess Isabella also showed very great elegance: the counts Nikolai and Felix de Monpezat. The two eldest sons of Prince Joachim, younger brother of King Frederik X, showed a very great distinction when they arrived in a tuxedo on the red carpet deployed in front of the entrance to the theater.
