“I have no idea of greatness. So much the better if it works, so much the better if there is peer recognition. But me, what I want is to go on stage and have fun. It’s really just that. ” A few months before his 40e Birthday, Alexandre Champagne finally launches his very first solo showGreat disorganization.
After graduating from the National Humor School in 2007, and made stand-up for four years, Alexandre Champagne abandoned this environment to turn to photography and a certain project with his spouse of the time, Marilou: Three times a day.
Today, almost 15 years later, he returned to his first love with a one-man-show, directed by Joseph St-Gelais. At the dawn of his 40th anniversary, was it time?
“I said to myself that I was going to launch it at 50!” lance at Journal Alexandre laughing. I don’t feel like a 40 year old guy. I don’t know if that’s the time, but when I’m going to take my daughter to school, I don’t feel like I’m an adult. I have a teenager heart and adult responsibilities. I told myself that at 50, I would be a real gentleman. “

“I wanted to wait”
When he graduated from ENH, Alexandre did not see himself launching a show in the following years. “I wanted to wait,” he said. I say it really unpretentious, but I wanted to have something more to say than when I was 18. ”
In his first solo show, which benefited from the collaboration of Julie Dignard (Script-Edition) and Magali St-Vincent (texts), Alexandre Champagne talks about his diabetes (“I want people who are diabetics see that it is possible to have a life that is cool”), the French language, of paternity (“it occupies 95% of my thoughts), From his journey in music (“I have never assumed it”).
The title Great disorganization Reminds him when he played video games with his friends and he began to “disorganize” when it was not going as he wanted. “I was delirious, getting angry and saying nonsense. It made everyone laugh. ”
