Objective: to meet future talents in several French cities to allow them to play in front of a casting director and thus, potentially, to be spotted.
The idea already seems to attract many French people, since the actor has collected more than 6 million views in a video to promote his concept on Tiktok. On the BFMTV set, the actor indicates this Thursday, April 17, that this idea stems from his personal journey.
The first casting will take place in Lille between May 9 and 10
“I grew up in Toulouse, and I had this passion that animated me for acting (…) My mother had to spend thousands of euros in so-called very prestigious schools, it was really the obstacle course,” he explains.
The first stage of the castings will take place between May 9 and 10 in Lille. For the actor, the objective did not necessarily go to the capital: “We are looking for a lot of talent in Paris, it is very centralized, except that to go, it costs a lot of money”. However, the actor promises to go to “all the cities of France” on the video Tiktok.
Talent is everywhere, he has no age, he has no origin, he has no social status, so we will find it, “says Théo Fernandez.
To board the “casting truck”, future candidates will have to come with a text of their choice, prepare a maximum minute passage with a single possible test. Minors will have to be accompanied by a parent.
If a candidate is selected, the actor promises “a discovery of a moment facing the camera” with a casting director who will direct the actor on the spot. The candidate will also have “the assurance of leaving with the images” of his performance.
