A 79 -year -old elder would have been murdered by a heavily intoxicated man during a trivial evening to watch the hockey of the playoffs, in a village in the North Quebecois last month.

Matiusi Tullaugak, 47, was recently accused of the unpremeditated murder of Nellie Tullaugak-Wilson, in Puvirnituq, a community made up of some 2,000 souls.
The Sûreté du Québec (SQ), which is responsible for the survey, was unable to confirm whether there was a relationship between the two people.
The drama occurred at the victim’s residence on the evening of April 21. A group of friends, whose suspect, had gathered to listen to the confrontation between the Montreal Canadian and Washington Capitals.

Matiusi Tullaugak would therefore have found himself alone for long minutes with the victim. It was at this moment that he would have inflicted serious gestures of violence. The exact reason for the crime remains vague.
Tullaugak had fled before being arrested a few days later.
The forty -something has had many untangled with justice for several years.
Just in January, he received 10 months of jail for domestic violence. However, he only served one day after his conviction, due to his preventive detention.
Accusations of assault, harassment and obstacle also earned Matiusi Tullaugak various stays behind bars.

Note that it is the second murder of a woman to shake Puvirnituq in less than two months.
