“We must make sure that Quebecers are compensated for the end of carbon pricing targeting consumers. Quebecers should therefore receive the same amounts as what the inhabitants of other provinces will receive, “said a neodemocratic campaign spokesperson Olivier Clavet.
The delivery on carbon was a form of “reimbursement” funded with the carbon tax, which was taken from the pump during the three months following the deposit of the amount in the Canadians’ account.
Due to its carbon market participation with California, this tax did not apply in Quebec. Same thing on the side of British Columbia.

For a family of four, the discount is available:

When the host Patrice Roy asked Mark Carney if it was an “injustice”, the liberal chief replied that “no, it is not an injustice”.
Rather, he indicated that Quebecers, like all Canadians, were going to receive “the tax drop for the middle class”.
