Hélène Matte, member of the Dorchester coalition, was expelled from the ordinary session of the Quebec Municipal Council on Tuesday evening, after having chanted slogans.
It was Steeve Verret, president of the municipal council, who asked the two police officers present to intervene to take out the lady from the council room. The intervention was done quickly and the citizen did not resist it.
A few times earlier, Mme Matte had spoke during the period of citizens’ questions. Bounding a giant wooden key, she said that the merchant administration had lost the key to the city and that the Dorchester coalition had managed to find it “in an envelope on the office of the president of Trudel Corporation [important acteur immobilier]».
-This envelope “was addressed to Sam Hamad [candidat à la mairie de Québec qui a siégé, par le passé, au CA d’une des filiales du Groupe Trudel]”She added, mocking.
The mayor merchant refused to respond to the citizen while deploring the “toga effects” used.
The Dorchester coalition is opposed to the 17 -storey building project which must be carried out by the Trudel group on the Dorchester island.
