Polestar announces strong growth in its sales in T1 2025

During the first quarter of 2025, the Swedish manufacturer of electric cars Polestar experienced significant growth in retail sales, selling around 12,304 vehicles. This represents an increase of 76 percent compared to the same period in 2024 and stability compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 despite difficult economic conditions. The company attributes this successful success to its latest models and the continuous implementation of a more proactive sales strategy.

Michael Lohscheller, CEO of Polestar, said he was satisfied with the made in the transformation of business operations of the company. He highlighted the positive impact of the active sales model, the expanded network of retail partners and the range of attractive vehicles in obtaining the desired results. Lohscheller also recognized the volatility of the geopolitical landscape and underlined Polestar’s commitment to adapt.

Performances in

In Belgium, Polestar surpassed the global with a remarkable increase of 68 percent of registrations during the first quarter of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to FEBIAC data. This growth has exceeded both the expansion of the electric battery vehicle market (BEV) (30 percent) and the growth of the premium segment (7.55 percent), demonstrating the strong position of Polestar on the market.

Success of the Polestar 4

The launch of the Polestar 4 was particularly successful, establishing it as the fastest growth model in the high-end electric D-SUV segment, with more than 1,000 registrations since its introduction. Lies Eeckman, Managing Director of Polestar Belgium and Luxembourg, attributed this success to the strategic management of the company and its commitment to dominate the market.

Expansion of Polestar spaces

The expansion of Polestar spaces in Kortrijk, Brussels Sud and has improved the accessibility and experience of customers, thus contributing to the growth of the brand in Belgium. Polestar plans to publish its complete financial results for 2024, including the annual report filed on form 20-F, by the end of April 2025.
