Tristan Lamoureux thus risks life for life for causing the death of Mohamed El-Hassan Ajjaouj on April 25.
A passerby that walked on rue Saint-Urbain, very close to the intersection of rue Sainte-Catherine, would have noticed the body of the victim around 5:15 am.
She would have notified a surrounding security officer, who would then have sent information to the emergency services.

According to what the QMI agency had reported, Mr. Ajjaouj, 28, was stabbed in the belly.
The injuries of Mohamed El-Hassan Ajjaouj were however so serious that his death was noted on the spot. He then became the 11e person victim of murder in the metropolis this year.
In detention
According to our research, Tristan Lamoureux has already had several troubles with justice in recent years.
No later in October, the court imposed 90 days behind bars for him for a criminally obtained property. He then had more than two months to serve because of his preventive detention.
And earlier this year, he was suspected of having illegally got a 2009 Ford Ranger and he was accused of not having respected a court order.
These setbacks took place while Lamoureux was awaiting his trial, in particular for possession of cocaine, methamphetamine and hydromorphone, a medication attenuating pain.
In a few days
A few days before the death of Mohamed El-Hassan Ajjaouj, a 54-year-old man had been physically attacked in the Plateau-Mont-Royal arrondissement, still in Montreal.
Carl Soucy had been found at the entrance to private parking on avenue du Parc, near Milton Street.

When the police arrived on the spot, the paramedics were already taking charge of the victim, who was transported in a hospital center in critical condition. Carl Soucy died of his injuries five days later.
Nathan Akindolire, a 34-year-old man without a home, was in the meantime arrested and accused of serious assault.
Given the death of Carl Soucy, the accusation made to him could change.
