Monday, 145 employees in a factory of electric cables has Kenitra were taken from discomfort due to the inhalation of a gaz whose origin remains, for the moment, unknown. The incident occurred in the industrial zone ofOulad Bourahmacausing a panic movement within the factory.
The victims, who presented signs of collective asphyxiation, were quickly evacuated to theZemmouri hospital. The director of the establishment, Yassine El Hafianiconfirmed that the reception of this massive influx of patients was managed in an emergency: “Our medical and healthcare teams were immediately mobilized, which made it possible to administer the necessary care and to avoid any serious complications,” he said. According to health authorities, all those affected were able to leave the hospital during the day, their condition being stabilized.

As soon as the incident was announced, the families of the workers rushed near the hospital. At the same time, local authorities have opened a investigation to determine the exact origin of the gas leakagemobilizing security services, labor inspection and environmental teams.
