Ukraine launched on the night of Monday to Tuesday 105 drones on Russian territory, targeting Moscow in particular and disturbing the operation of a dozen airports but without making a victim, the Russian authorities said three days before the commemorations of victory over Nazi Germany.
The Russian media broadcast images of a cracked supermarket showcase and a blackened facade of residential building in Moscow.
Disrupted airports
Four capital airports, Chérémétiévo, Domodedovo, Vnoukovo and Joukovski imposed temporary operating restrictions during the night, some temporarily closing their tracks.
The operation of several other Russian airports had to be temporarily interrupted, especially in several large cities on the Volga such as Nijni Novgorod, Samara, Saratov or Volgograd.
A three -day Russian truce?
In the Koursk border region, a Ukrainian attack also injured two teenagers aged 14 and 17 and caused power cuts. On the Ukrainian side, a Russian drone shot killed a dead in the Odessa region.
Russia said it would observe a three-day ceasefire from May 8 to 10, during the commemorations of victory over Nazi Germany during the Second World War.
Ukraine has not clearly said if it intended to follow this truce announced by President Vladimir Putin.
