Monday May 5, 2025, around 2:15 p.m., an important leak of gas broke out on rue de Coatufal, in the town of Saint-Renan (North Finistère).

According to the elements, it was caused by the rupture of a consecutive to current road in this sector.

No impact

The firefighters, in connection with the GRDF teams, quickly intervened and managed to clog the pipe, while the soldiers of the Saint-Renan brigades community secured the premises and blocked access to the street.

“The wind quickly evacuated the gas, the flight had no major impact for the population,” reassures Captain Manuel Lozac’Hmemeur, assistant to the Marine Squadron Rababasé, commander of the Departmental Gendarmerie Company of Brest.
