Since the launch of season 4 of traitorsbroadcast every Thursday evening on M6, Jade and Hugo Lebœuf play a double game: that imposed by the program … and that of a carefully concealed fraternal link. Because if all the eyes have taken on the strategic betrayals and the suspicions in the manor, another lie floated behind the scenes: that of a brother-sister duo who pretended to be perfect strangers.
An idea born long before filming, during discussions between the former partner of Stéphane Rodrigues and production. “When I met Jade, she told me about her brother, who is an actor. We thought it could create a novelty in the show”, explains Mathieu Chalvignac, producer of the game, at Télé-Loisirs This Thursday, April 17.

An admission shared by the main interested party, who admits having worn “A big weight” From the start, even before he knows if he would be treacherous or loyal. To blur the tracks, Franck Lebœuf’s children set up a strategy: do not talk too much, avoid looks, change the subject quickly when the family is mentioned. “It was really not easy not to get lost, because we are very close”tell The one who is now a single mother. But despite all their efforts, their natural complicity ends up betraying their secret … to the point of sowing trouble in other candidates.
Some candidates were convinced that Jade and Hugo Leboeuf were in love
“We talked a lot together, we felt that there was a real alchemy between them”, Recalls Liane Fany, who also participates in this season 4. An alchemy that some have interpreted as … a start of romance! “We thought of other things at some point. A love at first sight? We thought it very strong!”, confides the singer with humor. Even after the end of the shooting, Francis Huster is convinced of it : “There have been love stories… It’s incredible as it branched off!”
Enough to make the two main interested parties smile, who probably did not anticipate this kind of misunderstanding. However, for Hugo, this immersion under a false identity was also a form of liberation. “I have always been more discreet in the family. To play this character was almost simpler for me, to agree to show me”says the young man with sincerity.
