Release on the big screen in 2004, this second adaptation of the book of the same name of Hervé Bazin by Philippe de Broca (The hunchback) – The first is a 1971 TV movie – is also available on the platform Arte.tv.
Jules Sitruk, a childhood under the spotlight
Born on April 16, 1990 in Lilas en Seine-Saint-Denis, actor Jules Sitruk was a little success at the beginning of the century. At 11, he made himself known to the general public in Mr Batignole (2002). In this poignant drama which takes place in the middle of the Second World War, he played a young Jewish boy saved by a butcher, interpreted by Gérard Jugnot. The following year, in 2003, he was the headliner of the quirky comedy on childhood Me César, 10 ½, 1m39 by Richard Berry. Two roles which allow him to gain recognition and to follow up in 2004 in 2004 in Fist viper where he embodies Jean, the son of the abominable Folcoche (Catherine Frot). Finally in 2006, he was seen in scout in Red needles.
What becomes of Jules Sitruk?
These cinema successes do not prevent the young man from following schooling. Literary bac in pocket, Jules Sitruk then begins film studies. His goal? Become a filmmaker! In 2015, he was 25 years old when he made his first short film, Windowswith Anthony Sonigo, (camel in the film The beautiful kids), the former Miss France Sonia Rolland or her father Claude Sitruk. And despite his desires for achievement, Jules Sitruk does not abandon comedy. In 2018, he found the big screen in international production Marie Madeleine, led by Rooney Mara and Joaquin Phoenix. It’s not nothing! He slips into the shoes of Aaron, a disciple of Jesus. More recently, he was seen in the Franco-Canadian dramatic comedy It turns in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, Released in French rooms in May 2022.
