Cazères. Kick -off of the festival finally book at high school today

It is therefore no coincidence that the organizers have chosen the Martin-Malvy high school for the start of this 15th edition this Tuesday, May 6 during an exceptional evening. On the program, the participation of Marie Pavlenko (author) and Stéphane Servant (youth author) during a cross meeting for all public around the theme “The female figure in children’s literature”. From 5.30 p.m. will follow up reading times by high school students but also by guests. Thus Marie Pavlenko will give a musical reading of her novel “cross the mountains and come to be born here”. This special evening is launching a week rich in meetings with no less than 14 authors invited by the association Avlitz Culturel: Benoit Séverac (godfather of the festival), Pierre Adrian, Philibert Humm, Alexis Jenni, Mariette Navarro, Karim Kattan, Saïd Mohamed, Hélène Montarde, Sébastien Cazes, Séverine Duchesne, Stéphane Servant, Pierre Patrolin and Marie Pavlenko. “We make the choice to invite each year a small number of authors because we want to live with each of them a real moment of exchange and sharing around their works. We also make the choice to invite authors that we love, which we have read and gave to read the works by circulating them as much as possible in our villages …” On the margins of the many readings, workshops and exhibitions, several highlights are planned as a bike/bistro. At 9 am with Pierre Adrian, the official inauguration of the festival on Saturday May 10 at 12:15 p.m. at the Garonne house, and of course the festive evening of the festival always on Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Capuchin cloister: Musical animation Duo Female between Dos Almas, poetic concert “The sponge of words” by the poet Said Mohamed and the musician Stantral and the Bal Brazilian Nordeste).
