Saturday, May 10, the inhabitants of Saint-Apollinaire will be able to fill up with reading at mini prices while supporting a solidarity initiative. A large clearance sale of books, reviews and CD will be held from 10 to 12 noon, then from 2 to 5 p.m., on the forecourt of the Media library@Lude. In case of rain, the event will be moved to the Arnaud-Bonin room.
Organized for the third consecutive year, this sale is the fruit of a partnership between the town hall, the municipal library and the Simon-de-Cyrene association. “The Saint-Apollinaire library has made a big weeding in order to renew the works. On this occasion, they donated all the weeded books to the Simon-de-Cyrene association and, in particular, to the Simon workshops, ”explains Florence Cauchois, coordinator of the Simon workshops.
The Simon workshops welcome brainworms from all over Côte-d’Or. The place offers various activities, around culture in the broad sense. “We have many partnerships with other associations, but our place of activity is not subsidized. It is thanks to actions like this that we can finance outings for our members, ”specifies Florence Cauchois.
Visitors will be able to obtain books, reviews or CDs for a single price of € 0.50. Only checks in check or cash will be accepted.
