“P’tits bits of love”: a declaration of maternal love
“P’tits bits of love” is above all a love letter from a mother to her son. Through the character of Juliette, the heroine of the book, Cendrine Nougué explores the memories and emotions that mark the life of a mother. The book incorporates personal elements, such as photos and scrapbooking creations, which strengthen the authenticity of the story.
“This theme particularly resonates with the mothers I meet during literary salons”confides Cendrine Nougué, author.
The book addresses sensitive subjects such as empty nest syndrome, which occurs when children leave the family home, or even menopause, an often delicate passage in the lives of women. These themes are treated with humor and lightness, which allows readers to identify themselves and find comfort in the author’s words.
A look at social realities
Beyond the maternal experience, “little bits of love” is also interested in social issues. The author evokes the experience of the unfortunately, the situation of migrants and children without their mother. Juliette, the heroine, finds herself confronted with isolated minors, which allows Cendrine Nougué to tackle complex questions with delicacy and humanity.
By mixing personal experiences and universal reflections, the author manages to reach a large audience. His book, published by Eyrolles editions, is addressed not only to mothers, but also to anyone interested in the realities of life.
