Marc Lavoine has walked a lot in Belgium in recent days, between Brussels, Liège, Mons and Tournai, accompanied by a large classical training as part of his Electro-symphonic tour.
Lavilliers, Sanson, Lama, Biolay, Sheller, Calogero … There are many artists who rubbed the “symphonics”. This sumptuous dressing brings another life to the titles that the singer and the public do not know heart.
The public knows he lives a privileged moment which will not be renewed. For his part, the artist has no right to make mistakes, forced to wedge himself in the musical course, without any possible variation or improvisations.
Marc Lavoine had the good idea to call on Belgian musicians for his Belgian dates: the Phoenix Pop Orchestraled by Jacky Coppens. On magnificent arrangementsmore than thirty musicians on stage carry the singer’s tubes.
Because Marc is fortunate to have accumulated at least ten landmarks. He was one of the most broadcast artists on the radio at the end of 90 / early 2000, at the time of his many duets.
Apart from his love songs (majority), we listen with pleasure with his odes to the city of Light “Paris” and “Le Pont Mirabeau”, “come back my love” which evokes in filigree the death of his father, or “This is France” which claims again and always the three words in “T”: freedom-equality-fraternity.
Between the titles, Lavoine recites some lines borrowed from various poems. A good idea because it has never been a huge communicator with the rooms. There remains a reserved personality.
The orchestra therefore brings a lot of heat, magnitude and power.
Observe classic musicians in unison forces respect. These men and women have devoted years of learning to their instruments, surveyed the alleys of the conservatories, spent hours repeating the same gestures, the same notes, to seek perfection, before reaching fluidity, natural and perhaps pleasure. Lives dedicated to an art that goes so well with popular song.
