Eight years ago, Philippe and Mathilde de Belgique launched the challenge of traveling the paths leading to Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle in the company of their children of which they are very close. A trip they made part by part during each spring, at the Easter period. Finally, the royal couple reached their goal in 2025, as they announced on April 16 on their social networks by sharing a photo of their epic.
Philippe and Mathilde have resumed 22 kilometers from the capital of Galicia. The video allows you to see them accompanied by two of their four children, Gabriel and Éléonore, in walking shoes, jogging and backpacks to which Saint-Jacques shells were hung, a sign of recognition for component pilgrims. The family then crosses the roads, villages and plains while enjoying great moments of exchanges between parents and children.

Emmanuel in crutches, Elisabeth absent
Finally, Philippe and Mathilde found their second son, Prince Emmanuel, when entering the city. The young man who lives in Spain was unable to participate in the end of the hike due to a sprain occurred earlier on the way and therefore traveled the last meters with crutches.
