Cheaper than classic diesel, the diesel designer attracts customers wishing to save some savings. However, the use of such a product can be harmful for vehicle engines.
It is in this context that eleven searches were carried out in the regions of Liège and Charleroi. They made it possible to stop the sponsors of the fraud as well as certain customers, aware of the fraudulent origin of the product. Six people were arrested, deprived of freedom and presented before the investigating judge in charge of the investigation. Three of them were then charged.
Ferrari, Maserati … et de l’or
During this search, many seizures were made. Among them, € 582,785 in cash, 1 and a half kilo of gold in ingots, eleven sports cars (including two Ferrari, a Maserati, two Mercedes and two BMW). More than 80 luxury articles including clothing and leather goods were also seized by the authorities, including fifteen luxury watches (Rolex, Cartier, Breitling, etc.). Finally, two unsuccessful firearms, a hunting rifle and a handgun have been confiscated.
When writing these lines, the amount of the excisee -made is estimated at five million euros, not to mention VAT damage and the other offenses.
