Christians celebrate Easter Sunday, April 20. The resurrection of Jesus will also be celebrated on television through a Protestant worship broadcast in Eurovision, a network based in Geneva which allows a simultaneous retransmission in several countries. It will take place at the United Protestant Church of Jemappes, in Mons in Belgium. In France, worship will be broadcast by France 2 As part of the weekly program “Protestant presence”, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. In Switzerland, it will be on RTS 1. The cult will also be on the screens in Italy and Ireland.
Founded at the beginning of the 19th century, as part of an awakening movement, the Church of Jemappes is anchored in the reformed tradition. She maintains close ties with the parish close to Frameries with whom she celebrates a common cult once a month. François Choquet, pastor of the local community, will bring preaching. The central text of worship will be the meeting between Jesus and Mary of Magdala after his resurrection. Pastor of Frameries, Noël Byiringiro will take care of the presidency.
