A Golden Sculptor to pay tribute to Dédé Fortin

“The sculpture, faithful to the vision of Roger Langevin, is both a tribute to the artistic and human contribution of André Dédé Fortin and a call for solidarity and cultural resistance, values ​​dear to the disappeared artist. The project will put forward sustainable materials, respectful of the environment and a contemporary and timeless aesthetic, “argues the project managers on the artist’s approach who now resides in Rimouski where he was a teacher at UQAR for twenty years.

The disclosure of the work will take place on November 22, the birthday day of André Fortin, during a public ceremony at the Normandin centennial park. “This work will enrich the cultural heritage of the region and will embody, for future generations, the vibrant memory of Dédé”, assure the instigators.
