Geoffrey Meuli, photographer, tells us about his favorite “spots” in the province of Liège: “The savannah of Ninane transports me elsewhere”

Cars of nature (he brought an incredible creative touch to the of running, Trail mode), but also more urban things. Eclecticism with, behind, this need to always go beyond the agreed.“What everyone sees is maybe beautiful, but I never want to stop there”he advances. “You have to look, , be curious, then possibly find what you want.”

Man does not wish to share very specific “secret spots”. Other visits would harm them. The interest he finds there would end “soiled”. However, he accepts a more vague, often known “geolocation”. Above all, he entrusts us with his feelings in relation to the atmosphere by these photogenic places.

To savanna of ninane

“Here is an extraordinary place, in the commune of Chaudfontaine, near the village of Ninane. You can feel quite elsewhere. These are the tall herbs that make you think of the savannah. There are also these small trees which do not grow, because, it seems, pollution from the valley once. This is where I made my own exotic photos. Through my goal, I am on another corner of the planet.

From Jemeppe to Val Benoît

“By getting older, my eye has become more and more used to the urban (not at Urbex, which is a different notion, and of which I am not very fan). An old garage door, a shadow on a wall, rust that agrees with the color of the eyes of a subject …: I always find something. Disassembles … I have not yet explored everything between Jemeppe and Val Benoît, just before entering Liège, but I like what I see in it.

The Hautes Fagnes

“Unmissable. Many things are known there, such as these trees starting from nowhere, Flohay. I prefer to wander and spots, thinking about the presence of a wolf. Trying to come across him. This place is a source of inspiration for all Liege.”

Buren Mountain

“The historic soul of Liège, with its stairs, its small dead ends, its raw character pavers that dress the image. This place must remain as it is. In this city which is increasingly modernized, these stairs are a place of resistance. Remember when they have been painted in the colors of Palestine.”
