Couture and glamor will be there on March 4. The Louvre Museum will organize a reception to celebrate its first exhibition dedicated to fashion and raise funds to finance its activities.
A couture reception at the Louvre
On January 24, the Louvre will unveil its first exhibition dedicated to the world of clothing. Baptized “Louvre Couture. Art objects, fashion objects”the event will honor more than 60 pieces and around thirty accessories designers, from Chanel to Versace via Dolce & Gabbana. The idea? Bringing fashion and classic art into dialogue while attracting a wider audience who love couture.
A touch of glitter for the Louvre which took the concept further. On March 4, while Paris vibrates to the rhythm of Fall/Winter 2025-2026 Fashion Week, the museum will orchestrate its “Great dinner”supported by its partner and patron of the Visa Infinite exhibition. An evening, a visit, a meal in the Marly courtyard and an after-party under the Pyramid will bring together all the Parisian and international elite. Friends of the museum, patrons, luxury houses and major creators are expected, as are, one imagines, influential public figures to bring a certain visibility to the event on social networks. “Everyone responded” according to a press release from the Louvre.
A tricolor Met Gala?
