Finance next season
In addition to the financial information (to read here), the future of FCGB is (again) being played out in 2025. Thus, the local radio reveals that it will be necessary to sign a check for €10 to €12 million to finance the next season that the club plays in National 2 or National 1. This sum includes the club's budget plus the continuation plan to be repaid (debt spread over 10 years, for example).
On August 31, 2024, Gérard Lopez, in his long letter, announced the arrival of local investors in the club: “I am very happy and proud to announce the upcoming arrival, alongside me, of Bordeaux shareholders, all successful entrepreneurs, who have been part of the club's ecosystem for a while and who beyond being shareholders, will also form a group of individuals on whom we can count in order to move forward with the project by having their support but also their ideas and their thoughts as people with strong local roots”, he had written.
However, as of January 2025, no local investor has entered into the club's capital. Thus, as in recent years, Gérard Lopez is still looking for potential investors.
Oliver Kahn, Alexis Gallice and Americans
Oliver Kahn and his investors would have approached the commercial court simply for procedural reasons, without going any further. Even if the former, president of Bayern Munich, met Gérard Lopez in London at the end of last year, indicates France Bleu.
Alexis Gallice, a well-known personality in Bordeaux due to his relationship with René and Jean Gallice, a former Girondins player, and his professional activities, also obtained information from the commercial court.
-Finally, France Bleu mentions that “several American investors have already advanced their pawns behind the scenes in recent weeks.”
The series for this first half of 2025 is officially open
