An exhibition by Michel Beaudoin at the Sylvie-Thouin Library from January 17

The Sylvie-Thouin Library will present the exhibition Les charmes de Lanoraie by the painter Michel Beaudoin from January 17 to February 27, 2025.

This exhibition explores the places as well as the houses which marked the eye of Michel Beaudoin.

The artist will discover the essence of Lanoraie, his native village, through vibrant and colorful works.

A meeting with the creator will be held on Saturday, January 18 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Library.

Michel Beaudoin, a graduate in advertising graphics from the Institute of Graphic Arts of Montreal, began his career in the field of printing before turning to his vocation as a firefighter with the City of Montreal Fire Department.

Additionally, painting has played a central role in his daily life since his retirement in 1998 and his love of art has continued to grow.

He has an affinity for exploring new perceptions and experimentation in addition to finding inspiration in the forms that emerge from everyday details, which allows us to capture the essence of each moment.

Mr. Beaudoin favors a variety of mediums such as acrylic, oil, dry pastel, watercolor and charcoal.
