The Prime Minister accused La France Insoumise of “choosing internal war” for the country and of wanting “confrontation to be the law”, after the Socialists decided not to vote on the motion of censure this Thursday.
“Another path emerges” what “the confrontation”affirmed François Bayrou on Thursday January 16 just before the examination by the deputies of a motion of censure which the socialists decided not to vote for.
“Another path emerges, with difficulty, after a lot of work, discussions, negotiations (…). Another path is emerging so that an agreement allows us to build a different future”declared the Prime Minister, after accusing La France insoumise of “choose internecine war” for the country and to want that “confrontation be the law”.
“Negotiation path”
After a call to order from the President of the National Assembly Yaël Braun-Pivet, while a skirmish began between Bayrou and Bompard in the middle of the Prime Minister’s speech, the latter resumed his remarks by defending “a path of negotiation”.
“The choice that is before us, in the serious situation that our country is experiencing”he is “between perpetual internal confrontation and the attempt to seek a path of dialogue, reflection, compromise, negotiation so that things move forward”argued the head of government.
