Indeed, French rap continues its domination of the charts, with the rapper Werenoi and his album at the top of sales for the second year in a row. Pyramid. #2 PLK – Room 140
PLK has established itself in recent years as one of the flagship monuments of the new generation of rap. Room 140 is a concept album that immerses the listener in the world of a hotel room that the rapper explains is a metaphor for the life of a touring artist. The big winner of Star Academy 2023 gets off to a flying start with his very first album Every second, which sold 172,685 copies. Aged only 22, Pierre Garnier was able to capitalize on his popularity acquired following the reality TV show to offer a pop-variety album which appealed to a large audience.
