A fresco created in Saint-Brieuc (Côtes-d’Armor), on the occasion of the Shake 2024 festival, is in the running to win the title of most beautiful fresco in the world alongside other works of street art visible in Spain, Japan, Russia, New York and even South America. south.

Indeed, the specialized website Street Art Cities has pre-selected artists and their works to submit them to a public vote. This site presents in the form of an interactive map tens of thousands of frescoes in nearly 1,800 cities around the world.

Internet users are invited to vote in three steps for their favorite works:

  • a first selection of 50 works based on those which obtained the best audiences on Instagram in 2024
  • a second selection of 25 frescoes chosen by a panel of artists from internationally renowned
  • a third selection also including 25 frescoes chosen by a panel of graphic arts experts.

An achievement of the Belgian female artist Iota is present in the second category. It is visible at 5 rue Jules Guesde in Saint-Brieuc in the form of an unstructured portrait.

To vote, nothing could be simpler, simply go to the site until January 31, 2025, select your favorite work in each category and validate using an email address.

A real plus for Saint-Brieuc

This selection is an opportunity for the Shake Art festival team to highlight a strengthened partnership with the Street Art Cities site and its application (downloadable for Android and iPhone) where all the street art works of and its region now appear.

“This partnership will allow this very popular site to relay all creations organized in the region and of course the news of our festival”, underlines Nicolas Poujol, its director.
