Exhibition – Teddy and Didier Bracard are the guests of the Rencontres Nature en Images 2024

The Nature en Images association inaugurated its photo exhibition “Rencontres 2024” last Saturday December 21 at Espace Tilleul.

With 25 exhibitors and nearly 200 images of great diversity, the association has grown further and some even come from Jura and Meurthe et . “Not only are the photos beautiful,” said President Jacques Martin, “but they are also valuable documentation on the massif and beyond.” The president wanted to honor a father and son Teddy and Didier Bracard (photos of deer) “for their absolute respect for the beast” in their photographic approach. Indeed, this year, the association is committed to emphasizing ethics: taking photos of both animals and flora with as little disturbance as possible: “It would be better to refrain from taking a photo than to cause disturbance to the fauna and flora” confided the president.

The themes are very varied, explained Jacques Martin, each photographer proposes a series of images and then a commission meets to choose, there must not be too much redundancy and the photos must be of quality “and there is exceptional work” he underlined. Deputy Mayor Grégory Bonne, admiring this “magnificent exhibition” which presents “a treasure to be protected, a fragile beauty”, praised the commitment of Nature en Images and the importance of “acting for a sustainable future”. The mayor of Cleurie Patrick Lagrange, for his part, congratulated the association which has been exhibiting since 2008 “the important thing is to keep it going”. Before inviting the assembly to share a glass of friendship, Jacques Martin wanted to present his thanks to Aurélie Mougel de la Bresse who makes a large part of their photographic prints.

A raffle and a quiz for children are offered to visitors with beautiful photos to be won and the exhibition is open every day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. except December 25 and December 1is January.
