The Flaugnac Photographic Autumn revealed varied works, from vibrant landscapes to humorous creations, celebrating the artistic diversity of the seventeen exhibiting photographers and even involving children.

The opening of the seventeenth edition of the Photographic Autumn, organized by the Quercy images association, took place on Saturday November 9, in the Flaugnac village hall, in the presence of the mayor and elected officials of the town and a always loyal audience.

The president of the association, Bernadette Labattut, praised the dynamism of the team of seventeen exhibiting photographers, including several newcomers, who addressed the themes of their choice with the greatest freedom of expression and great diversity. of styles.

From to Cartagena, without forgetting the Lot or the seaside

Montages full of humor show unusual Olympic games in the Lot. Improbable fake news features Raphaël Nadal playing on the Flaugnac tennis court and the devil from the Valentré bridge throwing himself into the void. We travel a lot in this exhibition. We go from Marseille, vibrant and creative, with a tribute to the street art animating the city walls, to Cartagena and its archaeological remains from the Carthaginian and Roman eras, in particular the recently restored theater. Unless you prefer a black and white stroll through , and its scenes taken from life. The seaside inspired the photographers, the beach of the Coubre lighthouse, in Charente-Maritime, , Pornic and the port of Collet, the views of the port of Saint-Jean-de-Luz after the rain.

Heritage remains a source of inspiration: the black and white stone crosses, polished by time, harmoniously inserted into the landscape, the geometric and perfect lines of the Burgos Cathedral and a very contemporary graphic and architectural approach of the Grand Palace from Cahors. Flowers are also in the spotlight, those of the Martels gardens, in the Tarn, and the dazzling red of the poppies, as well as the peaceful vineyards of Albas.

More exotic, one artist chose the monochrome colors of the holy water clam, a giant shell from coral reefs, another captured the play of lights and colors reflected in the glasswork. Finally, let us salute the work of eight children from the Saint-Paul-de-Loubressac school, initiated by the association within a workshop, who were inspired by their close and familiar environment.

The exhibition is still open on November 11 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
