The artist Guy de Rougemont in the spotlight during a colorful evening

It’s been five years since Gay Gassmann is working on writing a work in homage to Guy de Rougemont, member of the Academy of Fine Arts. Abolishing the boundary between sculpture and painting, this multidisciplinary artist has created, as a geometer of color, splendid totems, but also monumental works on numerous sites where they are permanently installed, squares, squares, streets…

He is particularly known for his famous Environment for a highway, where he installed sculptures over 30 kilometers along the A4, between and , his mosaic forecourt of the Orsay Museum or the Ministry of Finance, his coloring of the Museum of Modern Art in .

During a conference on this artist, organized at Sotheby’s (in the room dedicated to his sister, Laure, Princess of Beauvau-Craon, who was president of the auction house), his work was highlighted by Gay Gassmann, who presented his book, thanking Jacques Grange, Pierre Passebon, Diane de Polignac, Adrien Goetz, Hervé Lemoine… for their valuable contributions.
