Art Explora Academy: a free application to learn art history

Have you always wanted to take art history lessons? Alas, do you lack time, or do you not have the means to undertake long studies? More simply, are you curious? Art Explora Academy, it’s freefor everyone, from the age of 13 : this digital platform dedicated to learning art history is an excellent teacher who will travel with you everywhere!

Art Explora Academy is one of the prides ofArt Exploraan international foundation committed to share arts and culture with the greatest number, created in 2019 by entrepreneur Frédéric Jousset (owner of Beaux Arts & Cie) and recognized as being of public utility in 2023.

In three years of existence, the platform has already accumulated nearly 3,000 online resourcesaudio and video, accessible at any time on computer, telephone or tablet, in French and English: “The library’s offering is continuously enriched, including a series of new programs co-produced by Art Explora,” notes Philippe Rivière, digital director at Art Explora.

The little extra of this platform, which makes all the difference: thanks to the courses, organized in the form of a course, you can even obtain a certificate validated by Sorbonne University ! An educational formula which has already attracted some 27,000 registrants, and has 1,700 diplomas.

Two new training courses

To 12 coursesdesigned to become knowledgeable about the different facets of art history, have been added, for the start of the 2024/2025 school year, two new comprehensive training courses designed in conjunction with major museum institutions. From the end of September, you will know everything about “The impressionist adventure”developed with the Musée d’Orsay to celebrate the 150e anniversary of the artistic movement united around Claude Monet and Auguste Renoir. The other route joining the platform is centered on “The art of everyday life”. This latest selection echoes the exhibition of works from the Tate on the theme of still life which traveled the United Kingdom aboard MuMo, a mobile exhibition truck, a formidable tool for cultural democratization also supported by the foundation Art Explora for several years.
