AN HOUR IN THE OFFICE – Every Monday, a leader opens his door to Figaro. It’s the turn of photographer Stéphane de Bourgies.
Paris 11e district, Ledru-Rollin district. The office we are about to visit is anything but ordinary. At the end of a courtyard with light-colored brick walls, a long corridor leads to an armored door. Behind, a kitchenette: dishes, coffee, tea, and a few bottles of wine. Then, a large room of more than 100 m2 : a hybrid space, both photo studio and office.

Sometimes – often, according to its owner, the photographer Stéphane de Bourgies – reception space. We readily believe it. The place is also hybrid in the different atmospheres it reveals: a cocooning corner with its coffee table and soft armchairs in which you sit to enjoy, depending on the time, an espresso or a glass of champagne, surrounded by stacks of books. In the middle of the room, a table which brings together all the photographer’s equipment in the heat of the action, in the middle of a shoot. Just behind, blouses signed by great gastronomy chefs…
