The architect, Atepa Goudiaby, gives a direct quote to the journalist Adama Gaye

Senegalese architect Pierre Goudiaby Atepa has filed a lawsuit against journalist Adama Gaye over recent accusations against him. The accusations relate to alleged financial misconduct, including the management of the Maison du Sénégal in New York, a project in which Atepa is directly involved.

It was Adama Gaye himself who published this information via his social networks, confirming that the trial will take place in early November 2024. He stated that he had received a direct summons from Pierre Atepa Goudiaby, which targets his publications denouncing irregularities in the management of the Maison du Sénégal in New York.

In his message to the public, the journalist insisted on the “nature of these accusations, stating that the architect was one of the people involved.”

Faced with this situation, Adama Gaye did not miss this act, which he describes as an “attempt to intimidate him”. According to him, “each disturbing revelation that he broadcasts about influential figures in power triggers a response aimed at silencing him”. However, he says he is determined to “defend his words and bring out the truth”.

To support his argument, Adama Gaye referred to “legal documents obtained through an American lawyer, JR Skrabanek. These documents, accessible via an American judicial platform, are according to him tangible evidence supporting his accusations.”

In addition, the lawyer allegedly mentioned an “ongoing arbitration procedure involving several parties, including Pierre Goudiaby Atepa and his nephew, Pape Diedhiou.” The latter allegedly filed an action against the State of Senegal, which would corroborate Gaye’s statements.

The journalist thus calls on Senegalese citizens to take the measure of what he describes as a serious scandal and assures that the Senegalese justice system is also informed of the facts. “I will not be silenced,” the journalist said.
