The winners of the 60th edition of the wildlife photography competition organized by the Natural History Museum in London will be made public on October 8. The Natural History Museum will host an exhibition of the winning photos in December.

This year, nearly 60,000 photographers of all ages – both professionals and amateurs – from 117 countries tried their luck in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.

An international jury selected a hundred photos, covering all sorts of themes, from invertebrates to oceans, birds and mammals, offering a showcase of biodiversity, its beauty and everything that is becoming more urgent every day to protect and preserve. The winners will be published on October 8.
