In his work « Midnight Sun »American photographer Fran Forman recreates a pictorial world of mystery and fantasy to free yourself and lose yourself in your own creative universe. The images cross an unknown world, where the characters of its story and the spectators immerse themselves in a strange and extraordinary world.
His fairy tale world appears to have evolved over many extremely creative years which introduced him to the use of the camera merging with the support of evolving technology to enhance his storytelling and imagery opening up a surreal world to the spectator.
Fran calls her works photographic paintings, which are in fact far beyond what they appear to the naked eye and thinking mind.
Perhaps the first reaction to Fran’s work is that of a visual poet, a dreamer and an idealist living in a practical world of physical realities, without ever giving up faith in her dream world of contradictions. These contradictions are a way of life that challenges the conscious and the subconscious, reality and perception, the ordinary and the extraordinary.
