A renewed health record for children
The new health record, which comes into force on January 1, includes significant developments. It now offers advice on using screens and introduces a compulsory health examination at the age of six. The 20 mandatory health exams for children are also detailed, with benchmarks for parents to assess their child's social, cognitive and motor development.
Prevention messages on contemporary subjects, such as physical activity or exposure to screens, are also included. These recommendations aim to support parents in an approach adapted to scientific and societal developments.
Extension of vaccination against meningitis
Starting this Wednesday, meningococcal vaccination is expanding to include more strains (A, B, C, W and Y) in infants. A booster dose against strains A, C, W and Y will be rrecommended for adolescents between 11 and 14 years oldalthough it is not obligatory.
