The Louvre Museum is offering a brand new exhibition “Of all beauties!” which allows you to explore more than 10,000 years of Art and history, based on a selection of 108 works. You will be able to discover the gestures, the objects or even the beauty practices of the time. This exhibition raises and questions the place of appearance and beauty in societies and their transformations.
A “Beautiful” journey!
This original and unique exhibition was imagined by the Louvre with the help of the Art, Culture & Heritage Department of the L'Oréal Group. The purpose of this exhibition was mainly to share with the public the know-how about beauty and its journey through the ages, from prehistory to the future. To immerse yourself in this captivating universe, a written and sound scenography has been put in place. In addition, a web application makes it possible to deliver new content to make it a real immersive experience.
The works and objects presented during the exhibition thus come to life and tell their story in the first person. You can download the application using a QR code where historical characters like Nefertiabet or Hermaphrodite will come back to life.

“Beautiful!” : promote beauty and diversity
The objective of this collaboration is to reflect on our relationship to aesthetics. We then wonder about makeup, perfume, hair, body shape or even gender and skin color. L'Oréal thus wishes to promote its vision and promote plural beauty and diversity. Through this exhibition, the international firm affirms its commitment to open up to the diversity and evolution of our societies and all cultures. Indeed, history is not fixed, but dynamic with its particularities.
Beyond the visit offered within the museum, a web series co-produced by the Louvre and L'Oréal and broadcast at the start of 2025, will allow us to discover and decipher the emblematic works of the route through the eyes of these visitors.
