Les 12 Coups de midi: Finally the million euros for Emilien, who breaks all records! Big emotion on set, Jean-Luc Reichmann can’t believe it!

On September 25, 2023, Emilien arrived for the first time on the set of 12 Midday shots. Since then, he has continued to win a series of victories until becoming one of the highest-ranked Midday Masters. THIS Thursday, June 16, 2024, eight months after his first participation in the famous general knowledge game, the young 21-year-old champion has just passed a huge milestone! Indeed, his prize pool has finally reached one million euros !

A candidate has already done it before him. Bruno Hourcade, who was a candidate for 12 Midday shots in 2021, collected 1,026,107 euros after 252 participations. A journey but also a huge amount of money which allowed him to make his mark in the history of the game. From now on, he is no longer the only millionaire in the program! Indeed, Emilien’s prize pool now amounts to 1,039,071 euros ! He thus surpasses Bruno Hourcade by a few thousand euros, and he is not about to stop there. On the set of the game on the first channel, he shows emotion while the host rejoices. A sum that he managed to achieve in particular thanks to his discovery of the mysterious Star behind which the actor François Civil was hiding. “He’s 21 years old, he’s breaking all records!“, exclaims Jean-Luc Reichmann, who can’t believe it.

Emilien (12 Coups de midi): His prize pool worries the senior management of TF1

Throughout his journey, the history student from Toulouse amazed the viewers, Jean-Luc Reichmann but also the production! It must be said that he was very cultured, answering questions with such ease. At the end of last April, when Emilien had not yet reached a million euros but was already approaching it, the host admitted that behind the scenes, the candidate’s big prize pool was worrying. “I find it completely crazy what is happening. It’s crazy, it’s even starting to escape us, we talk about it with the senior management of TF1 and we say to ourselves: ‘But when is this going to stop?’“, he declared. If the end date of Emilien’s course has not been revealed, one thing is certain, the young champion seems ready to beat all records!
