Thunder. The visual delights of Etienne Pélissier. Étienne Pélissier talks little or nothing about his work. He is discreet, even reserved, but that doesn’t stop him from asking questions. “What will the status of these images be? », he blurted out suddenly. Photos? Not quite. Paintings? Not really either. He’s not sure. A subtle mix of techniques. “It’s like I was sticking stickers next to each other,” he says, laughing.

Distorted, exacerbated reality

The visual artist allows himself everything. Under his fingers, there is urgency. His eye is sharp. Nothing is missing. He multiplies techniques, materials, elements. He plays with symbols and pulls the strings. The wires are knotted, the pixels fly in all directions and collide, the boxes come unstuck, the linoleum becomes encrusted.

He experiments with side roads. He opens doors. He drifts, unreasons. He says nothing and shows. Reality is distorted, exacerbated, transcended by the beauty of images and assemblages. Nature is photographed through the window of his apartment. She is reworked with her finger on her cell phone. A true artistic work carried out to the millimeter, on its screen. He works with fingers, brushes, pencils, screens and gouges. He’s a jack of all trades.

His creations leave you speechless. The result is magnificent, a real delight for the eyes.

Practical. “Des-Lices” exhibition, at the Archipels workshop. FREE ENTRANCE.
