One of the most emblematic comedy duo of the last 30 years in France, Eric and Ramzy know that they will be linked forever. But after several decades together, what about the current state of their relationship? The two men spoke frankly about the subject, and they chose a surprising about-face… Explanations.

They are back ! Since April 26, the “Comedy Class” program debuted on Prime Video. It is essentially a stand-up competition in 9 episodes, whose jurors, you will have understood, will be Eric and Ramzy. Questioned by Télé-Loisirs on the subject, the second named spoke with his usual honesty:

With Éric, we had been looking for a joint project for a while and Prime Video suggested that we meet up to tour France to find the next nugget of humor. For us, it was an opportunity to laugh and spend two weeks together. It was great, and what’s more, we got paid!

Eric and Ramzy see each other much less than before

Is a fortnight together so rare for Eric and Ramzy in 2024? The answer is yes. In this same interview, Eric Judor clearly explains how things have changed compared to a certain era:

Our daily relationship? A non-relationship! Once we finished filming, we didn’t see each other or talk at all for two months.

A very different operation from that to which they were accustomed, they who made the 400 moves together and who, for a time, were inseparable. But times change, maturity takes its course, families are created. And today, both are well aware of this need to step back. So when we ask them how they still make each other laugh, they blurt out:

Éric: “By seeing each other less! (laughs) You have to let yourself breathe a little…”

Ramzy: “For twenty years, we saw each other 364 days a year.”

Éric: “We had become a caricature of ourselves.”

Ramzy: “We had five women who left, but we always stayed together. In reality, it’s not so much that you make me laugh, it’s that I get tired when I’m with you.”

Eric: “It’s the same for me! (laughs)

It was therefore ultimately by seeing each other less, but perhaps “better”, that the two men found how to keep the magic of their duo alive, still as popular with the general public. And that’s not about to stop!

The time when Eric Judor and Ramzy Bédia saw each other more than their respective families is well and truly over. At more than 50 years old each, the two comedians have modulated their way of doing things to continue to be funny, fresh, and to perpetuate this friendship which is so dear to them. If it works, which seems to be the case, we can only validate it!
