PICTO New York & International Center for Journalists (ICFJ): Tribute 2024

PICTO New York associates with the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) for the second year and features an exhibition and silent auction featuring 19 images from some of the world’s greatest photographers.

The photographs depict memorable people and moments. Jackie Onassis on a city street pursued by famed paparazzo Ron Gallela. Barack Obama caught in a young Spiderman’s imaginary web on Halloween, taken by White House photographer Pete Souza. And an Edward Hopper-esque photograph of a ballerina at rest, composed by Maggie Steber. Others beautifully capture nature and humanity around the world: Eric Meola’s tornado suspended over Colorado fields, a diver in flight by David Burnett, and more.

The ICFJ offers this special opportunity to own these rare photographs, in addition to others generously donated by Tim Anger, James Balog, Harry Benson, Jodi Cobb, Lucia Fainzilber, Greg Gorman, Robert Holmes, Gerd Ludwig, Steve McCurry, Claire Thomas, Peter Turnley, Irina Werning and Michael Yamashita.

Each photo is hand signed, dated and captioned by the photographer.

Date and time: Friday, October 4 from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Location: 77 Washington Avenue, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11205
