A photographer for thirty years, he has been showing his images for about fifteen years. His “humanist” photos and his works explore the meanders of the human soul, through his travels. Among his favorite themes are Greece and the peoples of the sea, childhood, old age, travel, nomadic souls, the sacred, workers of the land, nostalgia for return. He was inspired from his youth by humanist photographers, such as Sabine Weiss, Irving Penn, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Willy Ronis.

For this exhibition, the MAP festival gave him carte blanche. He was approached more than a year ago by Ulrich Lebeuf, the artistic director of the festival. At the MATOU, he exhibits works made in the past. But Nikos Aliagas also came to spend a few days in Toulouse at the end of last June, in order to take photos on the sidelines of this exhibition, for his pleasure. He photographed people in the street as well as in the Victor-Hugo market and gave us an interview on this occasion.
