One person is dead and five others are injured following a car rollover near Sharbot Lake, according to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
Initially, authorities feared for the lives of two of the six people involved in the collision.
Three injured people are in critical condition and one person is in serious condition, according to Constable Rob Martell of the Frontenac detachment of the PPO.
The single-vehicle collision occurred Thursday shortly after 12 p.m. on Burke Settlement Road north of the community of Sharbot Lake, which is located approximately 120 kilometers southwest of Ottawa.

The six people injured in the collision were transported to hospitals in Kingston and of Perth, as well as at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in Ottawa. One of them was even transported by plane.
There PPO has not yet released the ages of the injured.
Collision reconstruction specialists were still on scene as of mid-afternoon.
