The Directorate of Forests and the Green Belt of the wilaya of Algiers organized, this Tuesday, at the Bainem forest, a simulation exercise aimed at adjusting the devices necessary for the success of the prevention and fight against forest fires, indicates a press release from the services of the wilaya of Algiers.
This simulation exercise, organized in coordination with the Directorate of Civil Protection of the wilaya of Algiers, took place under the supervision of the Secretary General of the wilaya of Algiers, Salim Harizi, in the presence of local authorities and Directors responsible for intervention as part of the prevention plan for the year 2024, specifies the same Source.
The exercise aims to “adjust the mechanisms necessary for the success of the forest fire prevention and fight plan, test the level of availability of the material means and human resources mobilized by identifying the shortcomings noted during the exercise and developing an alternative plan to compensate for them.
It also aims to evaluate the duration of intervention and to strengthen the precision of coordination between the various stakeholders as part of the wilaya relief plan for the year 2024, the press release concludes.
